Joe Harnsberger has worked in the 'green industry' for 3 decades beginning in 1984 at the age of fourteen. During his life, he has actively engaged in learning and understanding horticulture, and implementing practices that emulate a homogenous relationship with the natural environment that surrounds us."Every property shall relate a 'sense of place' that is unique to the shared relationship between the site and it's user(s)"
In 1996, Joe completed the necessary curriculum to attain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecure from West Virginia University. While completing his studies in the landscape architecture program, he also completed course work in horticulture and participated in the work study program 'putting in hours' in both the university arboretum and greenhouse.
Upon graduation, he accepted a position as Horticulturist with Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. During a two year period, Joe was promted twice; Lead Horticulturist, and Project Design Coordinator for construction of Universal Studios Theme Park 'Islands of Adventure' and entertainment district 'CityWalk.' This was the largest construction project in the world at that time and Joe saw the project to completion.
Since then, he has continued working for several landscape contracting companies throughout the country. His love for mountains and mountain culture landed him in southwest Colorado in 2001. He is an avid outdoorsman, actively exploring all that the region has to offer.
With 30 years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of gardens, landscapes and parks, Joe brings an authentic, creative edge, and ethic to the profession, that many clients have come to admire..
